The School of Business and Administration’s role is to train exceptional public administrators, directors and leaders who can be part of the answer.The aim of our program is to set the standard for quality. Our curriculum is a careful blend of theory and practice and gives a foundational knowledge base of each of the disciplines before specialized skills, tools, and techniques can be explored.
The curriculum aims at producing graduates with advanced analytical and conceptual capabilities.

Objectives ofthe School of Business and Administration
The School of Business and Administration is dynamic and employs academic staff who are at the top of their respective fields.We teach a diverse and successful portfolio of short course certificates, diplomas and undergraduate courses. The School of Business and Administration is one of the largest faculties at LIU, with many undergraduate students currently registered.
In order to achieve the above mentioned objectives, we are offering the following programs:
- Diploma in Business Administration
- Bachelor of Business Administration
Degree Awarded: Bachelor of Business Administration. Duration: 3 years
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at LIU offers a unique approach to business training in view of the current challenges in the business industry. Our graduates have the competitive advantage to work with national and international organizations in wide-ranging fields.
How to apply: Ugandan applicants
Applicants should hold at least
(a) UACE certificate with at least 2 principal passes one ineither Mathematics, Entrepreneurship, Economics or Geography at the same sitting; AND UCE certificate with at least a credit in Mathematics
OR
(b) Diploma from a recognized institution of higher learning in any field or its equivalence
OR
(c) A Pass in Mature Age Examination
International applicants
Applicants must have qualifications that are equivalent to two A-level principal passes
Program Description
The BBA curriculum is designed to offer an effective integration of practical skill and industry experience well backed by theoretical knowledge in key aspects of business.
First, we have qualified staff with unique perspectives to offer in the field of business. In addition, we believe that LIU’s strategy of liberal arts education with an emphasis on ethics and values will produce business leaders who are uniquely equipped to operate in a global market.

The BBA programme provides business education based on integrity and Christian values that will produce ethical, empowered and employable individuals. It is designed not only to give students knowledge in the area of business, but also to produce an all-round individual who has the ability to work and adapt in the ever-changing world. The BBA program, thus exposes students to a variety of core subjects but also allows them to gain knowledge in various other disciplines within and related to their academic area.
The programme offers a range of academically balanced courses to meet the requirements of an all-round business manager. The courses of study are dynamic, so as to keep pace with the rapidly evolving environment of business, management in the service, production, technology and commodity sectors. The degree also develops the student’s practical management skills, technological skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability. The program thus incorporates training and practical experience, in the form of case studies, projects, presentations, guided internships, industrial visits, and mentorship by faculty and experts from the industry.
