POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Eligibility Criteria

(A) For Direct Entry

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE); and
(ii) At least 2 Principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent, obtained at the same sitting
(iii) Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University.

(B) For Lateral Entry to Semester 2

(i) All the above (i) to (iv) criteria
(ii) UG Degree in BBA or equivalent as assessed in (a) (iii) above
(iii) 2 years of work experience in any organization

 

MASTERS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Eligibility Criteria

(A) For Direct Entry

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE); and
(ii) At least 2 Principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent, obtained at the same sitting
(iii) Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University
(iv) All the prospective students will have to pass IMAT (ISBAT Management Admission Test) as part of the selection process.

(B) For Lateral Entry to Semester 2

(i) All the above (i) to (iv) criteria
(ii) UG Degree in BBA or equivalent as assessed in (A) (iii) above
(iii) 2 years of work experience in any organization

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING (BS-CE)

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum entry requirements for admission to a Bachelor of Science – Computer Engineering —

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 credits; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting, with Mathematics or Physics as one of the Principal Pass subjects.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Physical Sciences) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.

 

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ANIMATION AND VISUAL EFFECTS (BSC. VFX)

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Information Technology) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards. ISBAT University Admission Requirements

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NETWORKING AND CYBER SECURITY (B.SC.NCS)

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes (at least one in science subjects) obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Information Technology) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.m passes with 2 Years  Certificate from  UBTEB and 2 Years diploma from a accredited institution.

 

BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING IN ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION (BE EC)

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum entry requirements for admission to a Bachelor of Science – Computer Engineering —

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 credits; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting, with Mathematics or Physics as one of the Principal Pass subjects.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Business/IT) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.

 

BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS (BBA-IB)

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Business/IT) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (BCOM)

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Business/IT) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum entry requirements for admission to a Bachelor of Science – Computer Engineering —

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum entry requirements for admission to a bachelor’s degree program are :

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Business/IT) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.

 

BACHELOR OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (BHRM)

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Business/IT) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes (at least one in science subjects) obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

BACHELOR OF HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT (BHTM)

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Business/IT) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 Credits; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes (at least one in science subjects like Maths/Physics) obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Information Technology / Physical Science) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.

ISBAT UNIVERSITY DIPLOMA PROGRAMS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Eligibility Criteria

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 Principal pass and 2 Subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent
• At least Second Class, Credit or equivalent performance from recognized Institutions

 

DIPLOMA IN HARDWARE AND NETWORKING

Eligibility Criteria

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 Principal pass and 2 Subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.

 

DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Eligibility Criteria

• Completion of O’ level (UCE) with 5 passes at Credit level OR its equivalent
• Completion of A’ level (UACE) with at least 1 Principal Subjects Passes and 2 Subsidiary Passes in the same sitting
• Students who completed their O’ level -and a two-year Certificate in Business administration

 

ISBAT UNIVERSITY CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

CERTIFIED ETHICAL HACKING

The Purpose of the CEH credential is to:

• Establish and govern minimum standards for credentialing professional information security specialists in ethical hacking measures.
• Inform the public that credentialed individuals meet or exceed the minimum standards.
• Reinforce ethical hacking as a unique and self-regulating profession.

 

HIGHER EDUCATION CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS & IT

Minimum Eligibility

i. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent with a Subsidiary Passes in any of the core subjects

ii. Technical/Vocational Qualifications in Business or, Information Technology or related disciplines that are considered equivalent to the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A-level).

iii. Students whose foreign secondary school qualifications are not considered equivalent to the Ugandan A-level (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) but permit admission into Higher Education in their respective home countries. Such students shall be required to have an equivalent of Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five passes.

iv. Students of Cambridge curriculum, upon completion of AS Level with 2 Advanced Subsidiary passes.

 

HIGHER EDUCATION COURSE IN PHYSICAL SCIENCE

Minimum Eligibility

i. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent with a Subsidiary Passes in any of the core science subjects mathematics, physics or chemistry obtained in the same sitting.

ii. Technical/Vocational Qualifications in Business or, Information Technology or related disciplines that are considered equivalent to the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A-level).

iii. Students whose foreign secondary school qualifications are not considered equivalent to the Ugandan A-level (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) but permit admission into Higher Education in their respective home countries. Such students shall be required to have an equivalent of Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five passes including Science subject such as mathematics, physics or chemistry.
