INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION FOR 2024-2025 ADMISSIONS

The Academic Registrar, Busitema University invites eligible applicants who wish to be considered for admission for Undergraduate Programme(s) under the private sponsorship scheme for 2024-2025 academic year.

Eligibility

(a)Degree Programmes General Requirements

i.Interested applicants should have: Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five (5) passes.

AND

ii.Should also have: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two (2) principal passes in prescribed subjects obtained at the same sitting. Only candidates who sat A’

Level in 2018, 2017 and 2016 are eligible to apply EXCEPT for those who wish to apply for BBW – Bachelor of Business Administration (Weekend) which is open for all years.

(b)Diploma Programmes:-General Requirements

i.Interested applicants should have: Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five (5) passes. (Candidates who obtained results 7, 9, X, Y and Z at ‘O’ level need not apply)

AND

ii.Should also have: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least one (1) principal pass in prescribed subjects and two (2) subsidiaries obtained at the same sitting. Only candidates who sat A’ Level in 2018, 2017 and 2016 are eligible to apply.

NOTE THAT; For all diploma programmes, a student must have obtained at least ONE principal pass at the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (U.A.C.E) and TWO subsidiaries in principal subjects obtained at the same year of sitting to be admitted.

Key:

*Candidates who did not take Agriculture at A-Level should have passed it with at least a Credit at O-Level to be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation Engineering (AMI)

***Candidates who did not take Chemistry at A-Level should have passed it with at least a Credit at O-Level to be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Polymer, Textile and Industrial Engineering (TEB) and Diploma in Ginning and Industrial Engineering (DGI)

NB. Candidates to qualify for Diploma Programs should have at least ONE principle pass and TWO subsidiaries obtained at the same sitting.

Mode of Application

All candidates will apply online using the new AIMS system and the deadline for application is available here.

BUSITEMA UNIVERSITY ON LINE APPLICATION PORTAL USER GUIDE

1.Applicants should access the institution’s Admission URL http://admissions.busitema.ac.ug

2.Signup using full name, e-mail and mobile no. Please note that your name must be similar to the one on your supporting documents for your application to be considered.

3.A password will be sent to both your e-mail and mobile number.

4.The system will prompt you to change the password to the one you can easily remember.

5.To fill a form the applicant clicks on the apply now button displayed on the running scheme.

6.Obtain a payment advice slip by clicking on “Pay for the Form” button and get the reference which you will take the bank.

7.Make Payment at either Stanbic or Centenary bank.

NOTES: (i) You are advised against submitting false information or forged documentations.

Candidates who obtained results 7, 9, X, Y and Z at ‘O’ Level need not apply, since they do not meet the admission requirements.
