The Art & Designs

Currently, there is increasing demand for people with skills in Art and Design following the enactment of the “Buy Uganda, Build Uganda” Policy 2016, and prioritization of the Tourism Sector in Uganda.

The BUBU Policy provides platform and protection to Art graduates who come up with different innovations to address society challenges, while tourists provide ready market for the products.

Therefore, Artisans in Leather Works, Cosmetology, Garment Construction, Textiles, Fashion Design, Painting and Color Mixing, Decoration, among are well placed to harness these emerging opportunities. Undertaking training in Art and Design empowers Institute graduates to grab the opportunities, bearing in mind that students are majorly trained for job creation than seeking for jobs.
